I just saw a thumbnail for a video on off-grid living today, and noticed how hyper sexualized that thumbnail was. Probably in an attempt to get views. It's sad what we value as a society today. Sometimes I wonder, is this human nature or the nature of the system that we have been indoctrinated in, or a little bit of both.

I love the callout that many larger media companies are using these tactics (profit driven tactics) which in turn, (my opinion here) can create a subjective truth for an individual to follow suit (create clickbait titles for example). You made many great callouts on how we can combat this however ( Supporting public and community media, promoting nonprofit models, and encouraging media literacy can contribute to a more informed and diverse media landscape)
