Skills that are usually not fully acknowledged or valued even though we live in a meritocracy. I’m not advocating for a meritocracy, I think it doesn’t work, but this story really highlights how skilled many of us are, only to not receive that recognition from an employer. I’m grateful that that individual called your partner’s employer. We need to advocate constantly for each other.
