I appreciate you sharing a path to keeping leaders accountable with such a quick turnaround from your previously well written article.

There is a lot of gold in this article. I will be revisiting it from time to time, but I love the callouts to what the founding fathers viewed as grounds for a revolution and how we are seeing many of the same issues in our current time. I also love the callouts to how capitalism can reappear in other attempts at revolution.

What I believe most people will say to an article like this is "well how come communism didn't work for the Soviet Union?" I know it comes down to many factors but an over-centralized, oppressive, bureaucratic and rigid political and economic system played a role in it. You made some great callouts in avoiding this, specifically having a clear vision of what we want in mind and by prioritizing the collective well being. I wonder if individual needs get lost in that lens of thinking or if a collective equity develops and acknowledges, and accommodates, to our differences.

I think that's the trickiest part of any type of revolution; acknowledging that we are all not starting from the same space. I'd love to continue the thinking and conversation around holding space to recognize and accept those differences. Primarily to ensure that whatever comes next is truly to the well being of its participants.
